Most of the eBooks I sell and include in the powerseller package are ones that I’ve purchased from other sellers that included resell rights. I’m learning though that writing your own eBooks is really where the money is. With your own eBook you can add in your own affiliate links, adsense code, and promote your other products and services.
I get a lot of emails asking what particular product I use to write my ebooks (24,000 in 45 days, Automatic eBook Delivery, Make Money Promoting eBay & The Ultimate Powerseller Package). The product I use is called Activ E-Book Compiler and is really the best eBook Creator software I’ve found given its capabilities for the price.
Basically you write an eBook, let’s say in word, save it as an .html file, and then compile it using this software. You can add links back to your eBay Store or other products and put in your own affiliate links. You can also choose to protect it from being copied or printed to protect the content and even set it up to expire after a certain number of days or times opened (useful if you give out your eBook as a trial and then require your customers to purchase the full version).
I prefer this method as opposed to compiling it as a simple .pdf because of the extra money making opportunities mentioned in the last paragraph. If you get several thousand copies of your eBook floating around the web and you’ve inserted some affiliate links that have payouts of $20 or so, you can have a recurring monthly stream of revenue for very little effort. The more copies of your ebook you distribute, the bigger your monthly affiliate paycheck. Commission Junction is currently direct deposting a nice chunk of change into my checking account each month from the affiliate links posted in some of my eBooks and I’m really not having to do much work.
So if you are looking for some good eBook Software, pick up a copy of Activ E-Book Compiler. It comes with a free trial version so you can try it out and see if you like it before buying. If you need any help with the software, I can show you specifically via instructions and screenshots on how to use it.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be glad to help you out. Just leave a comment here or post a question in the Everything about ebooks category in the community forums.
