Today my project was to revise my eBay About Me page. Although I haven’t sold an eBook since the new eBay policy on digital items went into effect at the end of March, I’m still getting a decent amount of traffic to my About Me page. So I decided to try and make the page look a little more professional. I used the same styles you see here on my blog which include:
The H3 Heading
Drop Caps
The note box
The alert box
The goal was to create a great looking page with highly scannable content that hopefully will encourage visitors to click on one of the links that will lead them to this site. The design and look of a page is just as important if not more important than the content it contains. One of the best peices of advice I can give you is to take a couple minutes to learn about CSS styles and how to incorporate them into your sites in order to create highly scannable content that will make your readers want to know more about what your offering.
The CSS code I inserted was only 13 lines long and came from the stylesheet that was included with this Wordpress theme. If you would like to know about CSS styling or need some sample code to get started with, just drop me a comment and I’ll be glad to help.
